PCR-kits for detection of enterohemorrhagic E.coli are available! 16.06.2011
PCR-kits for detection of enterohemorrhagic E.coli are available!

Registration of outbreaks of intestinal infection caused by enterohemorrhagic E.coli O104:H4 (EHEC) in May, 2011 in Germany became possible due to constant monitoring of severe forms of diarrhea. High severity of disease caused by EHEC is related to complications such as hemolytic anemia, thrombocytopenia and renal failure (hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS)).

In Central Research Institute of Epidemiology (Moscow, Russia) PCR kits for qualitative detection and differentiation of diarrheagenic E.coli (including strain O104:H4) have been developed.

AmpliSens® Escherichioses PCR kit is in vitro nucleic acid amplification test for qualitative detection and differentiation of diarrheagenic E.coli (EPEC, ETEC, EIEC, EHEC, EAgEC) DNA in clinical material and environmental samples by using real-time hybridization-fluorescence detection (FRT) or end-point hybridization-fluorescence detection (FEP). (CE IVD mark)

AmpliSens® EHEC PCR kit is in vitro nucleic acid amplification test for qualitative detection of enterohemorrhagic E.coli (EHEC) DNA in foods by using real-time hybridization-fluorescence detection (FRT) or end-point hybridization-fluorescence detection (FEP). AmpliSens® EHEC PCR kit is intended to analyze DNA extracted from samples of primary enrichment media (Kessler’s medium, trypticase soy broth, brilliant green bile broth, or Gram-negative broth). (CE IVD mark)

Our PCR-kits have been approved for in vitro diagnostics use and have CE-mark.

Additional information about intestinal infections is presented in our booklet “Acute Enteric Infections” (download)
